Infected biloma
WebA spontaneous infected biloma, without any underlying disease, is a very rare finding. We recently diagnosed a spontaneous infected biloma by abdominal computed tomography and sonographically guided percutaneous aspiration. The patient was successfully managed with percutaneous drainage and intravenous antibiotics. WebSep 10, 2014 · Infected biloma developed in two patients with grade IV liver injuries and one with grade V injuries. Analysis of the trend between the prevalence of biloma and the grade of injury was performed. As the grade of liver injury got higher, the prevalence of biloma increased (p < 0.01). All cases but one developed biloma in the parenchyma of the liver.
